We mix our historic past with all the modern conveniences. For
the sports minded we offer hiking, canoeing, swimming, bicycling, snowmobiling,
hunting, fishing, horseback riding, skiing, snow shoeing, and almost any sport
you could name.
The Old
Nipissing Road, combined with the Magnetawan River, opened the north to
colonization. Our historic locks,
located
in the Village
of Magnetawan, opened on July 8th,
1886, making this region one of the oldest colonized areas in
Parry Sound District
.
Come, stay for a holiday, relax, enjoy ...
and become part of our history.
Come
experience the Historic Municipality of Magnetawan. Revel in the
history of our Ghost Towns, Historic Trail, and miles of Old Logging Roads.
Not only is Magnetawan a great place to visit, but it's an even better place to live!
