NOTICE OF STATUTORY PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE ZONING BY-LAW REVIEW AND UPDATE FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAGNETAWAN

THE PURPOSE of the Public Meeting is to enable the public to review the Draft of the proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law for the Municipality pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended. The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment will update various sections of the Zoning By-law and will provided for modified height provisions, trailer provisions, home occupation provisions, non-complying structure provisions, parking provisions for commercial uses in the village proper and others.


DESCRIPTION OF THE LAND: The proposed Zoning By-law affects all lands within the municipal boundaries of the Municipality of Magnetawan. A key map of the affected lands has not been included with this statutory notice as a Comprehensive Zoning By-law regulates the permitted uses of all lands and governs the location, size, and height of buildings and structures within the Municipality of Magnetawan.


A COPY OF THE DRAFT will be available for review by April 6th, 2018 on the Municipality of Magnetawan website at www.magnetawan.com or may be viewed at the at the Municipality of Magnetawan Municipal Office (4304 Hwy #520, Magnetawan, Ontario) during office hours (Monday to Friday, between the hours 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.).  For further information, you may also contact Andrew Farnsworth, Clerk-Administrator, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. ANY PERSON OR AGENCY may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written representation prior to the Public Meeting, either in support of, or in opposition to the Proposed Zoning By-law. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a Public Meeting or does not make a written submission to the Municipality of Magnetawan before the proposed Zoning By-law is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Municipality of Magnetawan to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) and the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
